Summary: The ContextMenu ActiveX Control (ATL COM) is designed for generating and displaying shortcut menus. A generated menu is object-oriented: menu items are accessible during runtime, can be modified, added and deleted. A menu can be exported to XML string, as well as loaded from a XML string.

Picture below shows a sample code, and a shortcut menu it generates.




The menu structure is tree-shaped. All items can be accessed either by position or by key.



Menu's visual style can be modified.


A single command
STRTOFILE( oMenu.ToXML(), "menu.xml" )
sends a menu to XML file.



The opposite is also true: a menu can be loaded from an XML file.
oMenu.FromXML( FILETOSTR("anothermenu.xml") )
